Chicago knows that some individuals might feel uneasy about using standard emergency services like 9-1-1 or the non-emergency 3-1-1 line to report crime-related information, the Chicago Police Department established a range of telephone hotlines as an alternative method for reporting.
These hotlines are designed to protect the caller's anonymity, simplifying the process of reporting crime-related information. All you need to do is leave a message, provide details, or state your call's intent without disclosing your identity or location.
However, please remember that these hotlines are not intended for reporting ongoing crimes or other emergency scenarios. If the crime or emergency is happening right now, please dial 9-1-1.
